High Five UFOs

I am prioritizing what I see in front of me. I have a my first practice piece of LAQ and will put a binding on that today, I decided to just do a roll over binding as there was plenty of fabric within the backing, and this has a wool batting just going to use it across the foot of the bed to warm up are toes in the minnesota winters. I had taken a class at McTavish Quilting Studio, great experience. I learned how to use the Long Arm Quilting machines, was able to quilt a few quilts. I did learn doing the quilting is not for me, based on my personal physical situation. So if you are interested in buying a LAQ machine, this is a great way to find out if this is the investment for you.  It really was such an enjoyable experience, and working with Karen Mc Tavish and the other quilters was a joy.

My next project on my list is to make a  gift bag to put a garment into,

Also, I  bag with peacock fabric I cut out ages ago, but its right here by my side to constantly stare and me as a reminder. Maybe I'll use the peacock bag for the garmet gift bag. LIke they say two birds with one stone. It might not go perfectly with the garment, but I think it will be ok,

I have and apron cut out for a friend that I need to Whip out. Just black fabric for the body of the apron and a fun cooking print for the pocket. She is a really good cook and an amazing baker, and has been making masks since the call first went out. such an amazing person.

My fifth project is working on my Sunflower Illusion, I am about a third of the way done, I know picture looks like a hot mess, here is how it should look when I am finish.  I need to finish this as I am in a class with Jodie Madison, using Judy Niemeyer’s Sedona Pattern. These are my goals for the month.

What did I get done today,  I spent my time as I listened Pat Sloan's Challenge video doing my 10 minutes of the rainbow quilt, I was able to sew the square into rows for the next two section. When I am pressing other things, I will press out the rows so that they are able to be sewn together. Just chipping away a bit at a time, here and there.

I did finish the practice piece, and I also worked on another rainbow pieces for a bit.

Thank for the motivation Pat Sloan
